Urban Hjelm was born in 1956 and works as a Lawyer and Senior Partner at the Law Firm Nova in Stockholm since 1994.
Before Nova Urban Hjelm was active at Schagers Law Firm in Stockholm, first as an Associate and then as a Lawyer during the years 1986 to 1993.
Urban Hjelm took his Law Degree at Stockholm University in 1986 and is a member of the Bar Association since 1991.
Urban Hjelm’s business focus is primarily in Business Law and assignments in the area of Insolvency Law. Within these areas, Urban Hjelm is particularly interested to participate in corporate reconstructions where he can take an active part in the companies ”turnaround”. Urban Hjelm has also on several occasions had international assignments in the U.S. and England.
Urban Hjelm started gymnastics at a young age and has two individual gold medals in the Swedish Youth Championship. Sport has therefore always been an important part of Urban’s leisure. Today, downhill skiing and playing golf are Urban Hjelm’s main hobbies as he prefers to exercise together with his wife Bibbi and their three sons. In addition, Urban Hjelm is very amused by boats and the Swedish archipelago.
